Spotlight: That 90s Show

I watched the first episode. The actors from the old show did well, especially Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp. A bit of overacting; Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher.

Regarding the kids, Callie Haverda stood out. The rest were adequate, except Mace Coronel, who I found out gets annoying, really fast.

About the storyline…I don’t know. Finding cannabis from 20 years earlier? Enough to hook up everyone, all summer? Sure (add a bit of disbelief). How about getting a full beer keg up a water tower? Has anyone ever tried lifting one of these before? I call bullshit on that one. Those wimpy kids would need a crane to help them, achieve that.

Regarding the Netflix rating system, I gave the show one thumb up, but only because I knew others were into it, and who am I to burst their bubble. Speaking for myself, I’m finished watching this. I am interested in seeing Tommy Chong reprise his role as Leo. Still, no more for me. I’ve frankly seen enough. Using a one to five-star rating system, I give it 2.5 stars.
