THE MICHAEL BRUCE MAILING LIST: NEWSLETTER #1
Hey Everyone, Welcome to Michael’s first new newsletter. Let’s start
with a message from the man himself:
Hello all, Great to be talking to all my old and new friends on the new MBML! Tomorrow ( Saturday ) I’ll be leaving for the East Coast for the Kiss expo and I’m really excited to see all the Kiss Army and the Cooperites! Neal Smith, Dennis Dunaway, and Joe Bouchard will be there along with Bruce Kulick and Union.
New Music
Looking forward to touring this summer and getting into the studio.
New MBML
I want to encourage all the MBML subscribers to send in any and all questions they ever wanted to ask but were afraid to ask. LOL!
In Closing
Just remember to be nice, no running with sharp objects, and if you do, always keep them pointed away from your eyes!
Have a great week and remember “Schools not out till the fat lady sings”
Your pal and perpetual Rocker,
Michael Bruce

Hi All, It’s a great pleasure to be posting to the Michael Bruce mailing list. I
have a ton to say, but I’ll keep this to a minimum (for now). As Easter
passes, what a cool way to “begin anew” with Michael’s own list!!! I have
spoken with Michael at length in the past (for an exclusive interview for
my Alice Cooper zine) and I can say firsthand that this guy is not only
informative but VERY funny!!!! Also, some footage of Michael from recent
gigs has shown that he can rock with the best of ’em. Let’s all get behind
this legend and pull together so that he can see the ”big lights” once
again. Michael….Buffalo awaits you!!!!!!
PLUG TIME
Anyone who wants info on how to order the “AREA 51” video and/or CD, (Michael along with original Alice Cooper group member Neal Smith and the late Glen Buxton – his last gig) email me and I’ll put you in touch. Make sure all belts are fastened, and that the safety bars are in place. The ride is about to begin. Enjoy!!!
“Should I set myself on fire or spray my hair bright green?” -M.B.’75
ANOTHER PLUG
Michael will be appearing at the Big Easy Comic-Con “A pop culture Mardi
Gras” in New Orleans, LA., Memorial Day Weekend, on May 26th, 27th, & 28th. The convention will be held at the New Orleans Hilton Riverside Hotel. For more information, log on to:

Hi, This is Jason from Sadness Kills The Superman. If you didn’t
already know, we are going to be backing Michael Bruce on his 2002 UK
Tour. Hope you can make a show and give us your support to make this
a truly memorable time.
While are supporting Michael, it is hoped that you will also like our
own material as well. Your comments will be gratefully received.
If you wanna find out more about us, check out our official website. Besides information about the band, we also have a message board
where you guys can talk, and a guest book you could fill out if you
would like to do so.
Looking forward to it, see ya

MBML Coordinators Comments
I never saw these guys live, but from what everyone says who has,
these players are not to be missed. I know Michael’s looking very
forward to performing with them again. Would be much appreciated if
all of you MB fans would take an interest. Visit their website….say hi
on the message board…..hit the guestbook….and if you are lucky
enough to attend one of the shows…..what the hell…buy them a beer
(after they are done playing, of course).

Hi Michael
How are Ya?
The question I need to ask is:
Who played guitar on “School’s Out” – the original recording?
I’m compiling our second AIR GUITAR collection and we got license to
use the track I’m happy to say. This evening I’m writing sleeve
notes for the CD and I’m giving all the info I can on ALL the
guitarists involved – so the kids can trace a favourite lick.
Let me know what’s occurring – maybe I can get down to see you
guys. Also please give big Love to Alice and all the guys.
Cheers, and take care,
Brian
Michael’s Reply:
Subj: School’s Out.

Great to hear from you and congratulations on your star in Hollywood.
Thank you for the invitation to contribute. Here is the information
on the track.
Glen Buxton on lead guitar and opening guitar riff. Neal Smith is on
drums. Dennis Dunaway on bass guitar. Alice on vocal and Michael
Bruce on rhythm guitars and keyboards. We did preproduction at the
Cooper Mansion in Greenwich, Conn., and Studio Instrument Rentals in
Los Angeles. Bob Ezrin was the producer with Roy Cicala and Shelly
Yakus were engineers and recorded in New York at the Record Plant.
Ezrin recorded a boy’s school choir for the children sounds with his
son as one of the singers. Bob also used a choir on Pink Floyd´s
‘Another Brick In The Wall´, again using his son as a singer in the
choir.
I hope this will help you with your project and I will give your
regards to Alice on November 16th. at Wembley. Please feel free to
contact me anytime for any reason and thanks again for including us.
Your friend,
Michael Bruce
P.S. Hysterical footnote regarding guitarist Glen Buxton. Glen´s arm
bracelets, jewelry, and other assorted metallic objects decorating his
person had to be securely taped to his body and soundproofed before
recording could begin due to the immense rattling sound he produced
when he played guitar. M.B.
Michael Bruce 2002 Tour Report
A very long-distance phone call (Iceland to Houston):
Telephone is ringing…..I answer it
Michael: Hi Gary.
Gary: Hi Michael. How are you? How’s Iceland?
Michael: It’s cold.
Told me the show on the 25th (Akureyri) went well. Due to some
problem, was an hour later getting on the stage. Besides that, was
happy with the way it turned out. Michael went on to say that he and
the guys are looking very forward to the show in Reykjavík this
coming Thursday (the 31st).
Website Update
Made a few changes. Took away some photos, and added new ones. Got a new webpage devoted to MB’s current tour. We’re up to seven web pages now. Not bad if I must say so myself for two guys who started off not having a clue as to how to build, or maintain a website. AOL is AOL. If slow coming up, minimize and after a little time go back to it. Hit refresh if you think something is missing. Webpage number eight is in the works.

Oh…one last thing. The Gary “Uncle G” Brown Archives doesn’t advertise. Way too expensive! The website can’t afford it! There are ways to get past that. This ideal costs nothing but your time, and it would help a great deal. Sharing links and positive word of mouth about the website means the world to the author. Please do, if possible. Odds are it will yield positive results. And thanks, again. Your favorite “Uncle G” would be very grateful.
