Killjoy 5 - poster

I actually watched Killjoy’s Psycho Circus the week it premiered on Amazon Dot Com’s Prime streaming service. To coincide with Amazon Prime adding Full Moon Features streaming channel to their roster last December. Enjoyed it immensely. I’ve been taking a hiatus of sorts recently from my writing, so I didn’t do an “Uncle G’s FUN Movie Review”, as I regularly would have done. Certainly met my criteria. Now time has passed some. How long does one need to relocate (PA. to CO.), and get their shit somewhat back together? It’s been five months since my last review, but who’s counting?

Killjoy’s Psycho Circus (2016 Full Moon Features)

This new release from Charles Band’s indie B-Movie company, Full Moon Features, is one of the best sequels I could have hoped for, seeing the original Killjoy, and all other sequels. Ends up being a very well made horror, sci-fi, comedy that if I have done an ‘Uncle G’s Top 10 Movies of 2016 list, that Killjoy’s Psycho Circus would have been included. The dialogue is sharp, the special effects are very cool, and the actors absolutely shine.

Killjoy’s Psycho Circus is written, produced, edited, and directed brilliantly by filmmaker, John Lechago. I so enjoyed watching it numerous times so far. Plus I loved Killjoy 3 and 4. No letdowns here.  And thank you for that by the way.

Now along with John Lechago, in front of the camera, the entire cast shines. Playing the lead character in all but the first Killjoy installment is actor, writer, director, and producer; Trent Haaga. If a Troma Entertainment fan like myself, you will recognize Trent from his work there.  Anything with his name on it is worthy of checking out. Take note … Trent’s Oscar-sure to be nominated acting performance could just be here; Killjoy’s Psycho Circus. In the same ballpark as Bruce Campbell’s performance in Army of Darkness (1992). That fuc*in’ good.

Actress Victoria De Mare performance knocked me out in this film, as it did the previous two Killjoy films.

Same can be said about actors Al Burke, and Tai Chan Ngo. I love the storyline of the characters they portray, with each one getting better as these films progress. And so we are on the same page, I am referring to Killjoy sequels 3, 4, and this newest thrilling adventure; Killjoy’s Psycho Circus

Actress Robin Sydney blows me away. I have been following Robin’s career since I saw her in Gingerdead Man (2005). Met her in 2008 at a Full Moon Features Road Show in Dallas Texas. Is seriously nice to her fans. Robin’s performance in Killjoy’s Psycho Circus, reprising her role as ‘Luanne’, is so entertaining to watch. One of the best scenes in Killjoy’s Psycho Circus is when her character and Betty Boop go head to head. Worth the price of admission.

Killjoy's Psycho Circus - The Ladies

A shout out to actor Steve Cardwell (Beelzebub), and actress Lauren Nash (Jezebel). Enjoyed your work! As I did all the other actors that were involved.

Worth Mentioning: Lots of good stuff! Let’s see …

01.) The opening credits ROCKED!
02.) I enjoyed seeing the Evil Bong / Gingerdead Man connections. Rabbitt (Sonny Carl Davis) ROCKS!
03.) Again … cool special effects! I’m that impressed! Also outstanding Make-Up; Tom Devlin.
04.) Loved the score; Michael Sean Colin
05.) Witty script/dialogue; includes Donald Trump reference.
06.) Adam & Eve … nice !! Full Moon Features Merchandise … cool as well !!!
07.) SPOILER ALERT —> Mime speaks!
08.) Six Psychos!

“Uncle G” RATES … Killjoy’s Psycho Circus (2016 Full Moon Features)

Using the same ten-star rating system that the IMDb website uses whereas one star basically means it sucks, to ten stars in which at least to me, means that it’s worth spending your hard earned money on, Gary “Uncle G” Brown rates Killjoy’s Psycho Circus10 STARS!

This movie was great! For me, watching it helped me escape what was going around me, and provided many a laugh out loud moment. Well needed at the time. It’s an art to be able to make something, that could achieve that. Hats off again to all involved. Thanks to Charles Band for keeping the Killjoy tale alive. And I was surprised at how well the fan scene (Killjoy crowd) played out. A room full of fans/Full Moon fanatics/amateur/want to be actors. SPOILER ALERT —> So sorry to see them (no … can’t give it away).
